The cable car experience1 min read

We recently went on the Emirates cable car (the UK’s first urban cable car), which opened on 28 June 2012. The cable car enables people to go from the Royal Docks/Excel to the Greenwich Peninsula/O2. There are 34 closed cabins that can carry up to 10 people each. They move at a speed between 2 – 4m per second. The 1.1 km long journey takes less than 10 min each way. We filmed the crossing of the Thames with our new little gadget: a GoPro Hero.
This was a brilliant experience that we would like to share with you and that we would recommend to anyone who does not suffer from vertigo. If the weather is nice the view will be fantastic! From its highest point (90m) you will be able to see different London landmarks such as: the Greenwich Observatory, the London Eye, the Shard, Canary Wharf, the Gherkin, Wembley Stadium, the Olympic Stadium, the London City Airport, the Crystal and of course the O2!

Watch our video and you will see what we mean! 🙂
