London literary map1 min read

There are many maps about London. You can find all sorts of street or attraction maps easily.
But one original idea that caught our eyes is the Literary London Map.
The map is made up of the names of novels’ characters and they are indicated in the areas of London they are the most associated with.

The map was created by Anna Burles (an interior designer) and Dex (a London based graphic designer and artist).
Their idea is simple: “Featuring the famous and infamous. And also the less well known. Those with an amazing moniker or brilliantly conceived nickname who are a credit to their creator.”
On the map, you will find characters such as Sherlock Holmes (of course) in Baker Street, Dorian Gray in Limehouse and many more.

It took its creators weeks to find the best characters to feature. The map is the result of a combination between hand-drawn typography and illustration. Now, if you are a literary buff and love London, you could have both your passions combined in this truly original map.
