Unusual ways to celebrate New Year’s Eve in London4 min read

Last week, we suggested you head to Harrods for some Christmas shopping.
Since 2017 is less than 3 weeks away, we are going to make a few suggestions about where you could go to celebrate the New Year.
There are countless events you could go to on 31st December.
But you might want to celebrate in a way that is more original than just going to a fancy pub or a restaurant dinner.
Here are some ideas…

Celebrate with Dippy

Fancy partying at the Natural History Museum? Read the plan they have for you (info taken from their website)…
Grab your free drink and a sweet treat before requesting your favourite track and dancing the night away to pop, dance, disco, R&B and club anthems with Dippy. The Dinosaurs gallery will also be open for those who want to escape the crowds.
Whether your style is smart or glam, now’s the time to dress your best – it is New Year’s Eve after all. You’ll also have the chance to craft your own 2017 crown and amp up your look with the help of a glitter artist – the perfect touch before striking a pose with your friends in the photo booth.
As midnight approaches, gather around the countdown clock on the steps of Hintze Hall for a spectacular start to 2017.

  • Date & Time: 31 December 2016, 20.00 – 1.00
  • Prices: New Year’s Eve Ball: Tickets £130, Members £117
VIP three-course dinner and ball: Tickets £215, Members £193.50
  • Location: Natural History Museum
  • Booking: click here

What’s great about it?

The New Year’s Eve Ball is the final opportunity to dance the night away with Dippy before it leaves Hintze Hall to prepare to tour the UK in 2018.
Plus, have you ever partied in a museum? That’s bound to be one of the last places you would think you can party (after a library of course!).

Celebrate on board of the RS Hispaniola

Just like our first suggestion, if you decide to celebrate on-board the RS Hispaniola, your whole evening will be taken care of.
You will get some Champagne on arrival, a 5-course Gala dinner, live music, Champagne at midnight and get to dance on both decks. So you are guaranteed to spend a great night out.

  • Date & Time: 31 December 2016, 19.00 – 2.00
  • Prices: New Year’s Eve Package: from £399
  • Location: click here
  • Booking: click here

What’s great about it?

Celebrating aboard a ship is in itself original.
But what’s truly brilliant about this idea is that the RS Hispaniola is located opposite the London Eye where the highly anticipated fireworks will take place. So not only will you spend an unforgettable night on-board the ship but you will get to see the fireworks from a prime spot. That is priceless!
Actually there’s a price for it and we present it below.

New Year’s Eve at the White Mansion

This promises to be a hell of a party.
In the past it’s been called “the sexiest and naughtiest New Year’s Eve in London” by Sheerluxe. There will be DJs on two dancefloors, musicians, live performers, tarot readers and more. You’re guaranteed to spend a great night out.

There will be different type of entertainers so if your mood changes and you feel like experiencing a different type of atmosphere, you will be able to do that easily. Plus, this looks like a party thrown by “a millionaire friend” with plenty to enjoy. So what could possibly go wrong? 🙂

There are many parties you can go to to celebrate New Year’s Eve in London. You should pick one soon and book it quickly because usually places go fast.
Whatever you do… have a smashing time, make sure you’re not as drunk as Captain Jack Sparrow so you can remember the night and make sure that 2016 ends on a high note! 🙂

Happy New Year!
